Reproduction Requests

We Are Not Currently Accepting Image Reproduction Requests

NOTE: Beginning September 1, 2023, The Society of California Pioneers will be pausing all research appointments and rights & reproduction requests as we prepare to relocate our collection. We anticipate resuming these services in late December. Please reach out to [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

The Society of California Pioneers is currently accepting image reproduction requests for research and publication. The Society can provide reproduction images of the photographs, documents, paintings, prints, and other objects in the collection. For questions about fees or to request reproduction images of items in The Society’s collection, please contact our Rights and Reproductions Department at [email protected]. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing of reproduction orders.

Please note that by requesting an image you agree to use the credit line “Courtesy of The Society of California Pioneers” for each image provided to you by The Society.

Researchers visiting the The Alice Phelan Sullivan Library in person are welcome to use their own cameras to photograph items from The Society’s collection at no cost. Flash photography and studio lighting are not permitted in the Library.
