Friends of the Museum & Library

Continuing a tradition of community service that goes back for generations, The Society of California Pioneers offers unique programs that support scholarship and encourage new interpretations to illuminate and honor the diverse experiences of those who came before us.

We operate a museum and a research library, both housed in one of the iconic Montgomery Barracks Buildings on The Presidio of San Francisco. The support of our friends and members makes free public admission to our museum and library possible, at the same time offsetting the cost of the free museum education programs we provide to over 2,500 Bay Area school children every year.

Support these programs by joining The Friends of the Museum & Library today.

Friends of the Museum and Library are entitled to a wide range of benefits including:
• Invitations to exhibition receptions
• Invitations to lectures & public programs
• Subscription to the e-newsletter, THE ONLINE PIONEER
